I have 3 things for you:
1. [storytime] I wanted to share my first ever birthday playlist with you. Last night I pulled some cards (past/present/future and help/hinder spreads) and went through my crafting supplies for a year 31 vision board. I decided to create a whole playlist for the month with the vibes that had come up in the card pulls and my mindmaps/journaling. I finished it up this morning, and here it is!: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfb4TzUJNb2r9lYKl3j8XXamreewCSOwf. Like all my playlists (and all those car CDs), they start slow, low beats per minute, and ramp up the energy as it goes. I had fun creating it, and singing and dancing to songs that have been with me from when I was like 10 to the ones that were released only months ago. Some I can't help belting out and don't make it through without tearing up, and some I cannot keep my body still to, *shimmies*. Some are balads and some are zumba songs. Some are in Hebrew and Spanish, and some have languages I can't name. Some have bad videos. In any case, they're all music that has buoyed me to where I am now, that made me feel seen or given me comfort or an outlet. I present to you parts of myself that you likely haven't glimpsed before (no censorship or judgements!): Shim's 31st bday playlist. Enjoy :)
2. Another birthday gift I'd like to offer, especially on my Hebrew birthday (8 Tishrei), is the traditional Jewish practice where the birthday person's blessings get an extra oomph spiritually. So, if you'd like a bracha, or even a compliment or reminder of your awesomeness, reply and ask!
3. Finally, I want to thank you for being in my communities and engaging with me, answering my questions and keeping me accountable, sharing recommendations/suggestions, referring me to people who might need my support to get organized/boundaried/whelmed, and just being you in a world where it can be hard to stay/return to you.
Don't forget to stretch lol if you got that far :P
